Welcome to What I Eat (“App”, “we”, “our”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose of the App

The App allows you to take a photo of a product’s ingredients and receive an analysis highlighting Unwanted and Safe components.
The analysis is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical, dietary, or professional advice. Always check product labels yourself.

2. Subscription

You receive 3 free scans.
After that, an auto-renewing subscription is required to continue using the ingredient analysis feature.

• Billing and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account.
• You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time in your device’s subscription settings.
• We do not process or store any payment data.

3. Data Handling

We do not collect, store, or share personal data.

• Photos are processed locally on your device.
• Extracted ingredient text is sent to the OpenAI API using our API key in order to generate the analysis.
• We do not store photos, extracted text, analysis results, or device information.
• OpenAI may process data according to its Privacy Policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• misuse the App,
• attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with its functionality,
• use the App in any unlawful manner.

5. No Warranty

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of ingredient detection or analysis.
You use the App at your own risk.

6. Modification and Availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
